DataStrike Acquires MiCORE, Creating SMB Data Infrastructure Powerhouse

By Greg Tavarez

DataStrike stands out as a pioneer in onshore data infrastructure services. They help companies use IT advancements as a springboard for growth. Their team of highly skilled specialists, coupled with strategic alliances with tech titans and a platform-neutral approach, allows them to craft innovative solutions and deliver actionable guidance. This combination fuels successful digital transformation journeys for SMBs, which pushes them toward improved business results.

MiCORE Solutions was a technology company that specialized in database, cloud, enterprise application and analytics services. They were known for offering platform-agnostic solutions, which means they could work with a variety of different systems.

So, why talk about the two?

Well, DataStrike recently completed the acquisition of MiCORE in a transaction that will form a large MSP specializing in data infrastructure services for SMBs. Through the acquisition, the combined company now boasts more than 200 clients and thousands of databases monitored across North America.

"We are bringing over 25 years of best practices in database, cloud and enterprise application management, while expanding our range of solutions into business intelligence to meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients," said DataStrike CEO Buddy Flerl. "And we are doing it all onshore. While our competitors operate out of other countries with different regulations, we deliver our services entirely from within North America."

DataStrike is set to continue to service clients with strategy and planning, implementation, optimization and 24/7/365 database administration support, among other areas of emphasis.

The company will maintain close partnerships and hold high levels of certifications from tech giants such as Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, SAP and many others. The company is also packaging data analytics platforms DataBricks, PowerBI and Snowflake into its original core offerings. This means clients gain real-time, data-driven business insights from the same partner they depend on to manage their data infrastructure.

"With the acquisition of MiCORE, DataStrike is in prime position to usher in a new era of transformational data-centric solutions, while providing an exceptional service experience for our clients," said DataStrike President and Chief Operating Officer Rob Brown. "Most importantly, we are raising the standard of excellence for the industry with a special focus on SMBs, which have been woefully overlooked by the larger MSP community.”

Additionally, DataStrike appointed a new management team with deep roots in the data infrastructure space. DataStrike's leadership includes Flerl, Rob Brown and Chief Marketing Officer Kelsic Pross, all former executives from database administration MSP RDX.
